Key Responsibilities
- Assist lorry driver in daily delivery and collection of goods to customer sites, warehouses, and business locations.
- Load and unload products safely, including pails, drums, containers, and packaged chemical products.
- Ensure correct items, quantities, and batch numbers are loaded according to Delivery Orders (DO).
- Check product packaging for leakage, damage, or defects before dispatch and upon delivery.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent movement, spills, or damage during transportation.
- Assist with manual handling of goods using pallet jacks, trolleys, or other material handling equipment.
- Support driver in navigation, reversing, parking, and site safety during deliveries.
- Obtain customer acknowledgment/signature on delivery documents.
- Return signed DOs and required paperwork to logistics/admin team after deliveries.
- Follow all workplace safety, hazardous goods handling, and chemical transport procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of lorry and loading areas.
- Assist warehouse, packing, or ad hoc operational duties when required by supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum PSLE / Secondary education preferred
- No experience required; relevant logistics or delivery experience is an advantage
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items (up to 20–30 kg)
- Comfortable working in warehouse and outdoor environments
- Able to understand basic English for delivery instructions and safety procedures
- Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Team player with good attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred Competencies
- Knowledge of delivery documentation (DO, invoices, delivery checklist)
- Basic understanding of chemical or hazardous goods handling
- Forklift experience is a plus (not mandatory)
Working Conditions
- 5.5 / 6-day work week (depending on operational schedule)
- May require overtime during peak delivery periods
- Exposure to warehouse, loading bay, and outdoor delivery environments
