Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced infrastructure professional to support enterprise compute and virtualization platforms in a high-availability environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining system stability, driving infrastructure improvements, and supporting critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the escalation point for complex infrastructure and virtualization issues
• Diagnose and resolve cluster and host-level incidents across compute environments
• Plan and execute hypervisor upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities
• Manage server lifecycle including provisioning, capacity planning, and optimization
• Ensure disaster recovery readiness through regular validation and testing
• Monitor and maintain firmware and system compliance across infrastructure
• Coordinate hardware replacements and work closely with vendors for issue resolution
• Optimize virtual machine performance and resource utilization
• Support integration with hybrid or cloud environments where applicable
• Review and approve high-impact infrastructure changes
• Ensure systems are configured for high availability and resilience
• Conduct periodic health checks and performance reviews
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and Nutanix AHV
• Familiarity with hyperconverged infrastructure (e.g. Dell HCI)
• Solid understanding of Windows Server and Linux (RHEL or similar)
• Experience supporting DR, HA, and enterprise infrastructure environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment
