Job Description

• Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with physicians’ instructions, ensuring correct drug, dosage, and formulation

• Review prescriptions for legality, clinical appropriateness, and accuracy of dosage

• Screen for patient allergies and potential drug interactions to ensure safe medication use

• Provide patient counselling on medication usage, including dosage instructions, potential side effects, and proper storage

• Address patients’ queries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner

• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions and resolve any discrepancies

• Supervise and guide pharmacy support staff to ensure smooth daily operations

• Manage pharmacy inventory, including stock control, proper storage, security, and record-keeping

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent qualification

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in a pharmacy setting

• Able to commit to at least 30 hours per week

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to commence work on short notice or immediately
