For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced Subsea Engineer (Commissioning) to serve as a Client Representative in this role.

The Role: Client Representative — Subsea Engineer Commissioning

As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Commissioning Manager. Your mission is to oversee the function testing, integration, and verification of the asset's subsea equipment — BOP stacks, LMRP, multiplex control systems, and riser equipment, ensuring each system is proven safe and fit for purpose ahead of handover.

  • Review and execute commissioning procedures and function test records for subsea equipment, verifying results against acceptance criteria.
  • Witness BOP/LMRP pressure testing, function testing, and multiplex control system integration testing.
  • Coordinate with subsea equipment vendors (e.g., Cameron, NOV) on subsea system commissioning and control system configuration.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and system walk-downs for subsea equipment ahead of commissioning handover.
  • Troubleshoot subsea system issues identified during commissioning, coordinating with the Engineering Manager's Subsea team were root causes trace back to design or fabrication.
  • Maintain commissioning records and system test documentation, supporting the Mechanical Completion (MC) certificate closeout process.
  • Report commissioning progress and open items to the Commissioning Manager.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Subsea Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 6–9 years of experience in offshore/marine subsea equipment commissioning or start-up.
  • Strong working knowledge of subsea BOP stacks, LMRP, multiplex control systems, and riser systems.
  • Experience with function testing, system walk-downs, and FAT procedures.
  • Familiarity with API 16A/16D/17D standards is an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and clear, factual reporting skills.
