SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

The Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, managing cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and maintaining compliance with company and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities to ensure efficient team performance and adherence to schedules
• Plan and assign cleaning duties to staff to optimize resource use and meet operational goals
• Inspect completed cleaning work to verify compliance with quality and hygiene standards
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures, equipment handling, and workplace safety to ensure consistent performance and reduce risks
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and performance to maintain workforce reliability and productivity
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals to prolong asset life and ensure safety
• Maintain and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, arranging timely replenishment to avoid shortages
• Respond promptly to client requests, feedback, and complaints to maintain high customer satisfaction
• Enforce compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to track performance and inform management decisions
• Assist with cleaning duties during peak periods or staff shortages to support team effectiveness

Required competencies and certifications

• Previous experience in the cleaning industry, preferably in a supervisory role
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate the cleaning team
• Ability to manage a team and work under pressure to meet operational demands
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safety procedures to ensure quality and compliance
• Physical fitness to perform operational cleaning duties when required
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, to meet business needs
