Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Development & Key Account Manager to drive FIRETEC’s expansion in the Japan market while managing strategic accounts across APAC. This role focuses on OEM partnerships, consultant engagement, and long-term commercial growth within fire suppression and industrial safety systems.
Key Responsibilities
Japan Market Development (FIRETEC)
- Develop and execute Japan market entry and growth strategy for FIRETEC solutions.
- Identify and build relationships with Japanese OEM partners and system integrators.
- Engage data centre operators, industrial end-users, and key decision-makers.
- Build relationships with engineering consultants and specification influencers.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to support strategy development.
- Navigate Japanese regulatory frameworks (Fire Service Act knowledge is highly advantageous).
- Represent the company at exhibitions, seminars, and client meetings in Japan.
- Develop and maintain a sustainable business pipeline in Japan.
Regional Key Account Management (APAC)
- Manage key accounts across data centre, marine, and offshore sectors.
- Develop structured account growth and retention strategies.
- Strengthen long-term partnerships with regional customers.
- Coordinate with internal technical, engineering, and operations teams to ensure project alignment.
- Drive specification positioning and repeat business opportunities.
OEM & Consultant Engagement
- Engage OEMs and system integrators for early-stage specification development.
- Influence technical specifications through consultant relationships.
- Conduct commercial negotiations in both English and Japanese.
- Support contract negotiations and long-term framework agreements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline (Engineering background preferred).
- 5 years of experience in Business Development or Key Account Management.
- Experience in fire suppression, industrial safety, gas systems, or related technical industries preferred.
- Experience working with OEMs, consultants, or engineering stakeholders is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Japanese regulatory frameworks (e.g., Fire Service Act) is highly advantageous.
- Willingness to travel across Japan and APAC
