Company &Position Overview
We are partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturing firm to seek an experienced Engineering Manager for a premier manufacturing client. This technical leadership role is pivotal in driving process improvements, cost efficiency, and innovation for precision-engineered products.
In this role, you will lead a dynamic team of engineers and technicians, taking charge of the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. This role requires a hands-on leader who excels in New Product Introduction (NPI), process validation, and cross-functional project management.
Responsibilities
- Engineering Leadership: Provide technical direction and mentorship to the engineering team while managing departmental goals and budgets.
- Process Engineering: Oversee the optimization and validation of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and equipment utilization.
- Project Management: Plan and execute engineering projects from concept through implementation, including NPI and product transfer activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives, and support root-cause analysis for complex manufacturing issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and customers to ensure product manufacturability and cost optimization.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of engineering experience within precision engineering, with some experience in a leadership/management role.
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related.
- Strong technical understanding of precision manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, tooling & fixtures, GD&T, CAD/CAM systems, and SPC.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
