Learning & Development Executive (Corporate Training)

The Learning & Development Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering employee training programmes to improve staff competency, service quality, operational standards and overall organizational performance.
This role also supports the development of training systems, learning materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and employee competency assessments to ensure consistent service standards across the organization.
Key Responsibilities1. Employee Training & Development
- Conduct orientation and onboarding programmes for new employees.
- Deliver departmental and job-specific training sessions.
- Organize refresher and continuous learning programmes.
- Support supervisors in identifying employee training needs.
- Monitor employees' learning progress and competency development.
2. Training Material Development
- Develop and update training manuals.
- Prepare bilingual (English & Chinese) training materials where required.
- Design PowerPoint presentations, training guides and learning resources.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Create training assessments, quizzes and evaluation forms.
3. Learning Management
- Prepare annual and monthly training plans.
- Coordinate training schedules across departments.
- Maintain accurate employee training records.
- Monitor training attendance and completion status.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback.
4. Coaching & Performance Improvement
- Observe employees during training and daily operations.
- Provide coaching and constructive feedback.
- Identify competency gaps and recommend development plans.
- Support supervisors in improving employee performance.
5. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct SOP compliance training.
- Ensure employees understand company policies and workplace procedures.
- Support internal quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain training documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
6. Communication & Coordination
- Work closely with HR and Operations departments.
- Coordinate internal training events and workshops.
- Liaise with external training providers where necessary.
- Promote a positive learning culture within the organization.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, English, Human Resources, Business Administration or related disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in training, coaching, teaching, learning & development or related fields.
- Fresh candidates with strong educational backgrounds and relevant transferable skills are encouraged to apply.

Candidates possessing any of the following qualifications or experiences will have an added advantage, but they are not mandatory:
- Recognized teaching qualification or teaching certification.
- Experience in teaching, coaching or facilitating learning programmes.
- Experience in curriculum development or instructional design.
- Experience in employee onboarding and corporate training.
- Experience preparing bilingual (English & Chinese) training materials.
- Experience in the Food & Beverage, Retail or Service industries.
