Associate - Finance Shared Services

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate (Finance Shared Services) to support finance operations within a dynamic shared services environment. This role is ideal for candidates with accounting knowledge who enjoy working with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities for assigned entities.
  • Process and review grant utilisation entries to ensure accurate recognition of grant income against expenses incurred.
  • Prepare, review, and follow up on monthly accounting schedules.
  • Perform intercompany confirmations and intracompany reconciliations, and liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding items.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by providing timely documentation and responding to audit queries.
  • Assist in the consolidation of financial information for the preparation of periodic financial statements.
  • Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and prepared in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Support ad hoc finance projects and other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • GCE "A" Level, Diploma in Accountancy, or an equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and month-end closing processes.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA will be an added advantage.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
