Associate - Finance Shared Services

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate (Finance Shared Services) to support finance operations within a dynamic shared services environment. This role is ideal for candidates with accounting knowledge who enjoy working with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities for assigned entities.
- Process and review grant utilisation entries to ensure accurate recognition of grant income against expenses incurred.
- Prepare, review, and follow up on monthly accounting schedules.
- Perform intercompany confirmations and intracompany reconciliations, and liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding items.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing timely documentation and responding to audit queries.
- Assist in the consolidation of financial information for the preparation of periodic financial statements.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and prepared in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Support ad hoc finance projects and other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- GCE "A" Level, Diploma in Accountancy, or an equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and month-end closing processes.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP is an advantage.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA will be an added advantage.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
