For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced Lead E&I Engineer to serve as a Client Representative in this role.
The Role: PMT Leadership — E&I Division
As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Engineering Manager. Your mission is to hold final technical authority over the e&i division scope, ensuring the shipyard's fabrication, installation, and commissioning handover is delivered safely, to specification, and on schedule.
- Serve as the ultimate technical authority for the PMT's electrical and instrumentation division.
- Manage critical technical interfaces between Peak Ocean, the Engineering Manager, drilling automation vendors (e.g., NOV, Cameron), and classification societies (DNV/ABS).
- Lead the review and final sign-off of complex power management systems (PMS), safety instrumented systems (SIS), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and integrated system commissioning handover packages.
- Manage and mentor the Senior and E&I Engineers on site.
- Hold final accountability for the E&I division's contribution to on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Coordinate with the Asset Readiness Lead on E&I inputs to the critical spares list and two-year spares list.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical / Instrumentation / Control Engineering.
- Deep technical knowledge of specialized drilling systems (Cyber chairs/drilling control systems, Top Drive VFDs, Draw works braking systems, BOP control pods, Emergency Shutdown [ESD] systems).
- Comprehensive understanding of Classification Society rules (ABS/DNV) and Singapore SS 638.
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in offshore/marine construction or fabrication.
- Minimum 5+ years of PMT / Client Representative experience leading teams.
- Excellent command with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
