Peak Ocean is a premier global consultancy and project management partner specializing in the offshore, marine, and renewable energy sectors. Known for our commitment to asset integrity, operational excellence, and engineering safety, we deliver elite Project Management Teams (PMTs) that safeguard our clients' multimillion-dollar capital investments globally.

For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced Naval Arch Engineer to serve as a Client Representative in this role.

The Role: Client Representative — Onsite Supervision & QA/QC

As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Senior/Lead Naval Arch Engineer. Your mission is to provide day-to-day field oversight of the shipyard's hull and marine systems work — ballast, mooring, and jacking systems, ensuring it is executed safely, to specification, and on schedule.

  • Conduct day-to-day hull and marine systems inspection, and progress tracking.
  • Monitor ballast/bilge system tests, watertight integrity checks, and contractor routine operations.
  • Witness marine system testing, verify the closeout of punch lists, and ensure all site modifications match approved "as-built" marine drawings.
  • Report daily progress and any technical concerns to the Senior/Lead Naval Arch Engineer.
  • Enforce contractor adherence to marine specifications, freeboard/draft marks, and tolerances laid out in the project contract.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or Marine/Ocean Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of jack-up rig marine systems (legs/spud cans, jacking system, ballast/bilge, mooring).
  • Familiarity with IMO MODU Code and Classification Society rules is an advantage.
  • Minimum 4–7 years of experience in offshore/marine construction or fabrication.
  • PMT / Client Representative experience preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent command and with the assertiveness to hold contractors accountable on behalf of the client.
