For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Engineer / Inspector to serve as a Client Representative in this role.
The Role: Client Representative — Compliance Tracking & Support
As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Senior Compliance Engineer. Your mission is to support the tracking, filing, and closeout of statutory and classification compliance items across all engineering disciplines, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks as the asset progresses toward handover.
- Maintain the project's compliance register, tracking open items against Classification Society (ABS/DNV), Flag State, and Singapore statutory requirements.
- Support the preparation and filing of documentation for Class surveys, statutory inspections, and audits.
- Track the closeout of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and compliance-related punch items across disciplines.
- Attend Class and statutory inspections alongside the Senior Compliance Engineer, taking notes and following up on action items.
- Flag upcoming compliance deadlines or missing documentation to the Senior Compliance Engineer ahead of key milestones.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marine, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in offshore/marine construction, classification, or regulatory compliance support.
- Working familiarity with Classification Society survey processes and Singapore Flag State/statutory requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to documentation detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
