For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced Coating Inspector to serve as a Client Representative in this role.

The Role: Client Representative — Coating Inspector Inspection

As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Coating Lead Inspector. Your mission is to provide senior-level technical oversight on the most demanding coating scopes, supporting the Coating Lead Inspector in resolving complex coating quality matters.

  • Conduct senior-level inspection on the most technically demanding coating scopes, including specialized or high-durability coating systems.
  • Review and approve coating procedures and repair methodologies for complex or contested cases.
  • Investigate recurring coating defects, providing root-cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
  • Support the Coating Lead Inspector in liaising with coating manufacturers and Classification Society surveyors.
  • Report senior coating quality risks and resolutions to the Coating Lead Inspector.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid NACE Level 1,2 or 3 (Coating Inspector) certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum 3–10 years of coating inspection experience in offshore/marine fabrication, with a track record on complex or high-durability coating systems.
  • Deep working knowledge of coating system specifications, surface preparation standards, and corrosion protection principles.
  • Experience mentoring junior coating inspectors is an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and clear, factual reporting skills.
