For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior / Lead Electrical Inspector to serve as a Client Representative in this role.
The Role: Client Representative — Senior / Lead Electrical Inspector Inspection
As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Construction Manager. Your mission is to ensure all electrical installation and testing work meets specification, hazardous-area, and Class requirements, protecting quality without compromising the construction schedule.
- Lead and supervise the Electrical Engineer and Electrical Inspector (CompEX/ATEX), reviewing their inspection findings and daily reports.
- Review complex electrical inspection and test packages, single-line diagrams, and RAMS.
- Drive resolution of electrical non-conformances, coordinating with the Engineering Manager's E&I team where technical disputes arise.
- Witness major electrical system testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), verifying compliance with approved specifications.
- Oversee hazardous area (ATEX/IECEx) installation compliance across the electrical scope.
- Report inspection status, quality risks, and punch-list progress to the Construction Manager.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 8–12 years of electrical inspection experience in offshore/marine fabrication, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/lead inspection role.
- Strong working knowledge of hazardous area (ATEX/IECEx) standards and Classification Society inspection requirements.
- Experience with jack-up rig construction, newbuild, or reactivation projects in a Singapore shipyard is highly advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and clear, factual reporting skills.
