Electrical Engineer

For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to serve as a Client Representative in this role.

The Role: Client Representative — Electrical Engineer Inspection

As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Senior/Lead Electrical Inspector. Your mission is to verify that the shipyard's electrical installation work meets specification, drawings, and quality standards, supporting on-time, on-budget delivery.

• Conduct day-to-day inspection of electrical installation work, including cable routing, terminations, and panel/switchgear installation.
• Verify installation workmanship against approved electrical drawings and specifications.
• Monitor daily electrical inspection logs and contractor routine operations.
• Verify the closeout of electrical punch-list items and raise non-conformances where work does not meet specification.
• Report inspection findings and progress daily to the Construction Manager.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of electrical inspection or installation experience in offshore/marine fabrication or shipyard construction.
• Working knowledge of electrical installation standards and drawings (single-line diagrams, cable schedules).
• Familiarity with hazardous area installation requirements is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and clear, factual reporting skills.
