For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced NDT Engineer (ASNT Level 3) to serve as a Client Representative in this role.

The Role: Client Representative — NDT Engineer Inspection

As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the NDT Lead Engineer. Your mission is to provide senior-level NDT technique review and inspection on the most complex or contested weld and material integrity matters, deputizing for the NDT Lead Engineer as required.

  • Conduct senior-level NDT examinations and technique reviews on complex structural, piping, and critical equipment welds.
  • Validate and interpret advanced NDT methods (e.g., PAUT, TOFD) on critical joints, making acceptance/rejection recommendations.
  • Review technique sheets and findings prepared by ASNT Level 2 NDT Engineers.
  • Support the NDT Lead Engineer in root-cause analysis investigations for recurring weld defects or NDT failures.
  • Deputize for the NDT Lead Engineer in Classification Society discussions where required.
  • Report inspection findings, quality risks, and punch-list progress to the NDT Lead Engineer.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, Structural, or Marine Engineering.
  • Valid ASNT Level 3 certification in standard NDT methods (UT, MPI, PT, RT) is mandatory.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of dedicated NDT/welding QA/QC engineering experience in the offshore marine and drilling sectors.
  • Certification in advanced methods (PAUT, TOFD) is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and clear, factual reporting skills.
