For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced Outfitting & Architecture Inspector to serve as a Client Representative in this role.
The Role: Client Representative — Outfitting & Architecture Inspector Inspection
As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Construction Manager. Your mission is to verify that the shipyard's outfitting, accommodation, and architectural finishing work meets specification, drawings, and habitability/safety standards ahead of handover.
- Conduct day-to-day inspection of outfitting work, including accommodation modules, insulation, fire/smoke division penetrations, joinery, and interior finishes.
- Verify installation workmanship against approved outfitting and architectural drawings and specifications.
- Inspect deck coverings, doors, windows, and furnishing installation for compliance and quality.
- Verify fire-rated bulkhead and penetration sealing meets approved fire-safety drawings.
- Verify the closeout of outfitting punch-list items and raise non-conformances where work does not meet specification.
- Report inspection findings and progress daily to the Construction Manager.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Building/Construction, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 4–7 years of outfitting or architectural inspection experience in offshore/marine fabrication or shipyard construction.
- Working knowledge of accommodation outfitting standards, fire/smoke division requirements, and habitability codes.
- Familiarity with Classification Society outfitting and accommodation requirements is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and clear, factual reporting skills.
