Role Summary and Impact
As a Manager, Planning, you will support the development and execution of media strategies for the Taiwan local market, with a focus on translating client objectives into actionable planning and campaign frameworks. Working closely with the local team, you will help identify audience insights and market opportunities that guide day-to-day planning and investment decisions.
This role requires strong local market knowledge, planning fundamentals, and the ability to build and manage bespoke partnerships that add value to client campaigns. You will partner with internal strategy, activation, and analytics teams, and support client stakeholder engagement at the local level.
You will also contribute to strengthening planning practices within the team by applying insights, supporting the use of best practices, and helping test new tools and approaches that improve planning effectiveness.
Skills & Experience
- Local Media Planning
- Support the development of media plans aligned with client objectives, audience insights, and Taiwan market dynamics.
- Translate data and insights into planning recommendations that guide channel selection, investment allocation, and campaign execution.
- Work with the local team to ensure planning recommendations are practical and aligned with client goals.
- Bespoke Partnership Engagement
- Identify, evaluate, and manage bespoke partnership opportunities with local media owners, platforms, and vendors.
- Negotiate and coordinate partnership terms and deliverables, ensuring they align with campaign objectives and budget.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with local partners to unlock added-value opportunities for clients.
- Client & Stakeholder Support
- Support client discussions by providing planning perspectives and market insights.
- Prepare clear recommendations and materials for client presentations.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and local client stakeholders.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to apply new tools, data sources, and approaches that strengthen local planning and partnership work.
- Support the adoption of improved planning workflows and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Contribute to the team's use of AI-enabled tools to support insight generation and day-to-day planning.
What Success Looks Like
In the First 3 Months
- Build working relationships with the local team, key partners, and client stakeholders.
- Develop a strong understanding of the client's business objectives, category dynamics, and Taiwan market priorities.
- Begin contributing planning insights and partnership ideas in team discussions.
- Get familiar with internal tools, platforms, and data capabilities used for planning.
In 6 Months
- Independently manage day-to-day planning tasks and bespoke partnership discussions for assigned account.
- Contribute clear insights and recommendations in client conversations.
- Begin integrating planning tools and available data capabilities into regular workflows.
- Deliver measurable contributions to campaign planning or partnership outcomes.
In 9 Months
- Be recognized as a reliable planning contact for assigned accounts and partnerships.
- Support consistent, efficient planning practices within the local team.
- Identify and bring forward new partnership or planning opportunities that add value to client campaigns.
Role Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in media planning, strategy, or partnerships, with hands-on exposure to the Taiwan market.
- Experience across CPG clients is a good to have.
- Solid planning fundamentals, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Working understanding of digital media ecosystems, planning frameworks, and performance measurement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and partnership conversations at once, with good organization and follow-through.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with confidence engaging local partners and clients directly.
- Comfortable working across cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.
- Commercially aware, with an interest in identifying opportunities that support client goals and local business growth.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a willingness to flag gaps and suggest improvements to planning and partnership processes.
