Principal Recruiter (Individual Contributor)

We are seeking an experienced Principal Recruiter to lead end-to-end recruitment for technical, engineering and corporate functions across manufacturing operations. This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for developing effective hiring strategies, partnering closely with business leaders, and delivering high-quality talent while ensuring an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience.
The successful candidate will serve as a trusted talent advisor to the business, providing market intelligence, influencing hiring decisions, and driving recruitment excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from manpower requisition through offer acceptance and onboarding.
Partner with hiring managers to understand business needs, workforce planning and hiring priorities.
Develop sourcing strategies to attract high-quality talent for engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, supply chain, sales and corporate functions.
Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through multiple sourcing channels including LinkedIn, professional networks, employee referrals and industry events.
Conduct candidate assessments, interviews and competency evaluations to ensure strong technical and cultural fit.
Provide hiring managers with market insights including talent availability, salary benchmarking and competitor intelligence.
Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and recurring positions.
Drive recruitment process improvements to reduce time-to-fill while maintaining quality of hire.
Ensure an outstanding candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Work closely with HR Business Partners on offer recommendations, hiring approvals and employment negotiations.
Maintain accurate recruitment data, hiring metrics and reporting through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal policies and recruitment governance.
Represent the company professionally through employer branding initiatives, career fairs and networking events.
Support strategic recruitment projects, talent mapping and succession hiring initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
Typically 8–12 years of recruitment experience, including substantial experience recruiting technical and engineering professionals.
Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, precision engineering, electronics, semiconductor or related industries is highly preferred.
Demonstrated success recruiting across multiple functions and seniority levels.
Strong knowledge of direct sourcing methodologies and passive candidate engagement.
Experience partnering with senior hiring managers and business leaders.
Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
Familiarity with ATS platforms and recruitment analytics.
Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and responsiveness.
