SAFETY COORDINATOR

Job Overview

We are looking for a committed and proactive Safety Coordinator / Safety Supervisor to join our semiconductor projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting workplace safety, ensuring compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, conducting site inspections, and supporting the implementation of safety management systems throughout the project.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

Work Location

Tampines (VSMC Project Site), Singapore

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine site safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety policies.

• Identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

• Monitor and enforce safe work procedures, Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements, and site safety practices.

• Investigate incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, and prepare investigation reports.

• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, and other project safety documentation.

• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety awareness activities for site personnel.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams on all workplace safety matters.

• Support site safety training, emergency response activities, and compliance with project safety requirements.

• Ensure all work activities comply with company policies, statutory regulations, and client safety standards.

• Perform any other safety-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma, Higher NITEC, NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Workplace Safety and Health, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.

• Experience in workplace safety, construction safety, or site safety coordination is preferred.

• Good knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and construction site safety requirements.

• Familiar with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Risk Assessment (RA), Method Statements (MS), and site safety procedures.

• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and support project safety objectives.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, construction, M&E, or industrial projects.

• Possession of relevant Singapore WSH certifications, such as Safety Coordinator or Safety Supervisor certification.

• Familiar with emergency response procedures, incident investigation, and safety audits.

• Experience working with main contractors and subcontractors on large-scale construction projects.

• Bilingual in English and Mandarin will be an added advantage.
