Finance Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Analyst to support the financial planning, reporting, and business analysis functions of our BIM (Building Information Modelling) company. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, monitor project performance, and support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, financial modelling capabilities, and a good understanding of project-based accounting within the engineering, architecture, or construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management reports, financial statements, and variance analyses.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, profitability, and cash flow for BIM and engineering projects.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions and investment evaluations.
  • Collaborate with project managers to monitor project financial performance and ensure budget compliance.
  • Analyse revenue recognition, project margins, and work-in-progress (WIP) reports.
  • Assist in preparing board reports, management presentations, and KPI dashboards.
  • Support statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), internal policies, and financial controls.
  • Improve financial processes, reporting systems, and data accuracy through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support ERP system enhancements and financial data management.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA Australia, CA Singapore, or CIMA is preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, preferably within the construction, engineering, consultancy, or BIM industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and project accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, PivotTables, and financial modelling.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or NetSuite is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence tools is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations is advantageous.
