Nutrition and Food Science (NFS) Lab Assistant

Key Responsibilities and Scope of Services
1. Lab Maintenance & Upkeep
Perform daily upkeep of the food laboratories, which includes sweeping, mopping, and tidying both the food labs and the preparation room.
2. Lesson & Examination Support
Prepare for and actively support lessons conducted at the food labs.
Collate recipe ingredient orders from teachers and carry out timely procurement/ordering of ingredients for daily lessons and examinations.
3. Administrative & Operations Support
Support the NFS unit with administrative filling and documentation, including handling billings, receipts, delivery orders, etc.
Assist with internal stock-checking and assets checking.
Manage equipment loans, reference books, and other related assets.
Liaise with external contractors regarding equipment maintenance.
Support other school department activities that involve the use of the food labs.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates must meet the following baseline criteria to be considered:
Education: Minimum of secondary school qualifications or equivalent.
Language & IT Skills: Able to converse and keep records effectively in English, and proficiently use MS Office applications.
Certifications: Must possess relevant certifications in food hygiene, food preparation, and food safety.
Experience: At least three (3) years of similar experience working within a school environment.
