Job Summary

Perform laboratory testing and analysis of soil and rock samples to support construction projects, maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe, organized work environment. Oversee and manage laboratory technicians performing testing in the company.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soil and rock laboratory tests to generate accurate data for construction design verification
• Describe soil and rock samples to identify key characteristics relevant to geotechnical analysis
• Analyze test data and prepare clear, detailed reports for project stakeholders
• Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory test apparatus to ensure reliable test results
• Repair and maintain laboratory equipment to minimize downtime and maintain testing accuracy
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory work area to support safety and efficiency
• Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Assist management with ad-hoc laboratory duties as assigned to support operational needs
• Assist management in overseeing laboratory technicians in their work scopes
• Project management and liaison with clients

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Relevant experience in soil and rock testing is a plus
• Computer proficiency is an advantage
• Training will be provided for applicants without prior experience
