LNG Trading Support Analyst

We are seeking a Trading Support Analyst to support LNG trading activities through trade operations, commercial operations and market analysis. The successful candidate will have experience in LNG trading support, commercial operations and cargo execution, with understanding of the LNG trade life cycle, enabling effective coordination between operational and trading activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and reconcile LNG spot trading and derivatives positions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of trade position reporting and cargo tracking information to support trading decision-making.
• Maintain effective communication with key internal and external counterparties, including LNG trading and commercial teams, to support LNG spot market activities and coordination.
• Conduct market analysis of the global LNG market and prepare analytical reports and presentation materials to support trading meetings and commercial decision-making.
• Perform quantitative analysis of LNG market fundamentals and pricing dynamics to support trading recommendations.
• Work closely with the commercial/trading team to continuously improve the overall business performance;
• Strict adherence to compliance on company risk management policies and procedures and maintain highest standard of safety and ethics
• Preparation of internal analytical reports for management review
• Support ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree qualified preferably in a business, economics, mathematical or finance discipline
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in LNG trading support, LNG commercial operations or LNG cargo execution.
• Understanding of LNG commercial contracts, cargo execution and settlement processes.
• Familiarity with the LNG trade lifecycle, including cargo execution, commercial settlement, position reporting and trading support activities.
• Ability to analyse LNG market fundamentals and interpret pricing dynamics in global LNG markets.
• Ability to interpret complex financial and market data and translate insights into clear business recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate effectively across regional teams and external business partners.
• Solid hands-on experience in reading and interpreting written commercial documents, and writing professional business reports in Chinese to support communication with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and business counterparts.
