Senior/Lead Executive - Library

[What the role is]

NYP Library is looking for a forward-thinking professional to manage and enhance its library systems and digital ecosystem. The role supports library operations and academic services through system administration, IT governance, workflow automation, and AI-driven solutions that enhance service delivery, accessibility, and user experience.

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities

• Administer and improve existing Library Services Platform and discovery systems, including configurations, integrations, and updates.
• Monitor IT assets, system performance, and configurations, ensuring compliance with WoG ICT security and PDPA guidelines.
• Liaise with the IT department and stakeholders on infrastructure and system matters. Support project and change execution, including software deployments, migrations, and system enhancements.
• Manage the vendors and contracts to ensure that the performance of vendors and deliverables are in accordance with service level agreements.
• Conceptualize and implement AI-driven solutions, IT applications and technology services to enhance library services and operations.
• Develop automated workflows and dashboards to improve efficiency, reporting, and decision-making.
• Support the teaching and learning needs of schools and departments through resource development, curation, and the delivery of programmes and activities.
• Participate in projects, task forces, and committees in support of NYP and Library initiatives.
• Recommend and implement solutions to streamline workflows and improve service delivery, and perform other related duties as assigned.

[What we are looking for]

What We Are Looking For (aka Requirements)

• Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in systems administration, application support, or IT project execution.
• Familiarity with library environment and systems is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of web technologies, APIs, and authentication protocols (e.g. SAML).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in automation and data workflows.
• Practical understanding of AI concepts and the deployment of AI solutions.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
