About Our Team

TikTok LIVE is a fast-growing platform that enables real-time interactive content experiences, connecting creators and audiences worldwide. Our mission is to create a safe, engaging, and high-quality live-streaming ecosystem that fosters creativity and community building.

The LIVE Ecosystem Governance team plays a crucial role in ensuring platform integrity by designing product strategies, moderation mechanisms, and governance solutions to support sustainable growth. As a Product Manager, you will help develop governance tools, optimize ecosystem strategies, and drive cross-functional collaboration to enhance live-streaming experiences.

At TikTok LIVE, you’ll work on real-world governance challenges at a global scale, collaborate with top industry experts, and contribute to shaping the future of live-streaming. This role provides hands-on product management experience and opportunities for career growth in the content governance and online community safety space.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced operations specialist to lead the AI/LLM-enabled governance of our live-streaming content ecosystem. In this role, you will design and operate data- and AI-driven monitoring systems, identify and quantify ecosystem and content-safety risks, and turn insights into governance strategies that keep our platform healthy and trustworthy. You will work at the intersection of content governance, data analytics, and applied AI/LLM operations, partnering closely with product, algorithm, policy, and regional teams.

Responsibilities

1. Build and operate an end-to-end, data-driven governance loop for core ecosystem health metrics — covering goal-setting, fluctuation attribution, strategy execution, and effect tracking.

2. Design and run AI/LLM-enabled monitoring systems (e.g., automated trend detection, sentiment / public-opinion analysis, online risk dashboards) to surface content-safety and ecosystem risks early.

3. Lead content-risk governance on the host / guild / creator side: profile violation patterns through multi-dimensional analysis and drive targeted governance strategies that reduce violation rates.

4. Develop and tune operational strategies through SQL-based analysis, A/B testing, and root-cause analysis (RCA), and translate findings into product, policy, and algorithm/LLM iteration requirements.

5. Support LLM Ops workflows where applicable — including prompt strategy, data-annotation quality management, and model-effect evaluation — to continuously improve governance automation.

6. Collaborate across product, algorithm, policy, and regional/global teams to coordinate the identification, escalation, and disposal of safety and ecosystem issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s)

1. Bachelor's degree or above, years of hands-on experience in content ecosystem governance, trust & safety, or risk operations on large-scale digital content platforms (e.g., social, short-video, or live-streaming).

2. Proven experience governing live-streaming or user-generated-content ecosystems — for example managing content risk on the host / guild / creator side — including building content-risk monitoring and multi-dimensional analysis systems from the ground up.

3. Strong data-operations capability: proficiency in SQL, building metric / monitoring systems, performing fluctuation attribution and root-cause analysis (RCA), and turning data into actionable governance strategies.

4. Demonstrated application of AI / LLM-enabled tools to scale governance and monitoring — such as automated trend / sentiment (public-opinion) detection, online monitoring systems, or intelligent-service / chatbot strategy design and tuning.

5. Proficiency in Chinese and English is required to collaborate with global partners and key stakeholders based in Mandarin-speaking markets, where Mandarin is a primary working language.

Preferred Qualification(s)

1. Direct operating experience within a global short-video and live-streaming ecosystem (e.g., TikTok LIVE / Douyin or comparable platforms).

2. Experience with A/B testing and tuning of algorithm or LLM models, including intelligent-service operations, prompt strategy design, or data-annotation management.

3. A Master's degree in economics, a quantitative, or a social-science discipline, or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, COPC, or a recognized big-data / analytics certification).

4. Experience scaling or leading operations / data teams, or leading high-risk incident and emergency-response work.
