Why Join

Protecting our people, assets, and customers is a top priority at OCBC. As an Intelligence and Crisis Management Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our employees, customers and premises. You'll be part of a team that's dedicated to creating a secure environment that allows our businesses to be resilient and operational.

How you succeed

To succeed in this role, you'll need to stay vigilant and proactive in identifying potential security threats through intelligence information acquisition, analysis and reporting so that the bank can anticipate and prepare for impending threats and manage crisis situations effectively. You'll work closely with various stakeholders to assess risks, develop mitigation strategies and playbooks, and implement effective security measures. You will also be a part of the team that will support crisis management, such as developing robust crisis management plans. In addition, you will also conduct physical security risk assessments to ensure our facilities including any third-party engagement locations are adequately mitigated.

What you do

  • Conduct strategic intelligence gathering, monitoring, and analysis from multiple sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), proprietary databases, industry networks, government advisories, and security partners, to identify emerging threats, risks, and vulnerabilities that may impact the Bank's people, assets, operations, reputation, and business continuity.

  • Assess and monitor geopolitical developments, terrorism trends, civil unrest, crime patterns, social and economic instability, climate-related events, public health concerns, and other external risk factors that could affect the Bank's global and regional operations.

  • Produce timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence products, including threat assessments, risk alerts, executive briefings, situation reports, and strategic intelligence reports to support operational decision-making and senior management awareness.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of crisis management, emergency response, and business resilience frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate crisis management exercises, scenario-based simulations, and emergency response drills to validate preparedness, strengthen incident response capabilities, and identify opportunities for enhancement.

  • Conduct comprehensive physical security risk assessments, site surveys, security audits, and vulnerability reviews across facilities, critical assets, and high-risk operations, recommending and implementing appropriate mitigation measures to reduce residual risk.

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Business Resiliency and Continuity Management, Operational Risk, IT risk and operations, Corporate Real Estate/Property Services, Human Resources, Group Branding, Legal and Compliance, and business units to ensure coordinated risk management and security governance.

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with law enforcement agencies, government authorities, intelligence-sharing networks, industry peers, and other external stakeholders to enhance situational awareness, facilitate information sharing, and promote security best practices.

  • Prepare and present security risk assessments, intelligence updates, and strategic recommendations to senior management, crisis management teams, and executive stakeholders to support informed decision-making and risk mitigation efforts.

Who you are

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as security management, international relations, political science or law enforcement.

  • At least 10 years of experience in intelligence, crisis management, physical security or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong knowledge of intelligence gathering tools and a strong network in the intelligence community.

  • Good knowledge and practitioner of counter-terrorism methodologies, physical security operations and systems, and crime prevention.
