Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train a team of inventory associates, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Oversee daily inventory activities, including receiving, storing, picking, and issuing materials to production lines.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or overages, and communicate proactively with planning and procurement teams.
  • Operate and maintain material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
  • Implement and maintain 5S principles within the inventory cell to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, shipping) to optimize material flow and resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Ensure accurate data entry into the company's ERP system for all inventory transactions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's diploma in a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a lead role.
  • Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology.
