Pet Retail Assistant (Full-time / Part-time)

About the Role

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic Pet Retail Assistants who are passionate about animals and enjoy helping pet owners find the right products for their pets. You will provide excellent customer service, maintain an organised retail environment, and support the day-to-day operations of our pet shop.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product recommendations, including pet food, treats, toys, accessories, and grooming essentials.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with pet owners.
• Replenish shelves, organise merchandise, and maintain attractive product displays.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock receiving and stocktaking.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process customer transactions.
• Keep the retail area clean, organised, and welcoming.
• Support promotional campaigns and new product launches.
• Work closely with the grooming, and boarding teams to provide a seamless customer experience.

Requirements

• Previous retail experience is preferred.
• Experience working in a veterinary clinic, pet shop, pet grooming salon, pet boarding facility, or other pet-related environment is highly advantageous.
• Passion for animals and a genuine interest in pet care.
• Friendly, proactive, and customer-oriented.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, organised, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster.
