Job Description 1 – Physiotherapist (SportsPhysiotherapy)
Position: Physiotherapist (Sports Physiotherapy)
Location: Tampines Avenue
Contract Period: Academic Year 2026/2027 (Option to Extend)
Working Schedule
- Up to 3 sessions per week
- Predominantly Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays
- 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Schedule may vary according to competition calendars and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for student athletes.
- Develop and implement evidence-based rehabilitation programmes.
- Provide manual therapy, sports massage and injury management.
- Perform sports taping and strapping before training and competitions.
- Assess athletes' readiness for return-to-play and competition participation.
- Monitor rehabilitation progress and modify treatment plans where appropriate.
- Refer athletes for specialist medical care when required.
- Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Assistant Physiotherapists.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and confidential documentation.
- Ensure compliance with professional, institutional and workplace safety standards.
- Provide necessary physiotherapy equipment and treatment devices, excluding rigid tapes supplied by the institution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore.
- Valid Standard First Aid (SFA) and AED Certification throughout the contract period.
- Minimum 2 years of post-registration physiotherapy experience.
- Experience in sports physiotherapy, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and athletic injury management is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of exercise prescription, sports taping, rehabilitation planning and injury prevention.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating with coaches and sports personnel.
