ACCOUNTANT ASSISTANT

As an Accountant Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance department with day-to-day accounting operations. You will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable and receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and on time.
  • Bank reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements and company accounts.
  • Financial reporting support: Prepare supporting schedules and assist in monthly closing activities.
  • Payroll assistance: Support payroll processing and maintain employee records.
  • Document management: Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records.
  • Audit and compliance support: Assist in preparing documents for audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Cross-department collaboration: Work closely with project teams to track expenses and budgets.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience (construction industry experience is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, MYOB, or SAP).
