Backend Engineer (Mobile Banking)

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
Build secure RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external banking systems.
Develop event-driven applications using Kafka, JMS/IBM MQ, or RabbitMQ.
Design and implement Spring Batch jobs for large-scale data processing and reconciliation.
Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to system design for high-availability distributed systems.
Implement authentication and authorization using Spring Security, JWT, OAuth2, and mTLS.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Helm, and related tools.
Produce API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger.
Monitor production environments using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or similar observability tools.
Participate in SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-production support.
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Ensure coding standards, test coverage, and quality through SonarQube, JaCoCo, JUnit, and Mockito.
Work in Agile Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Any other ad hoc duty provided by the supervisor

Banking experience is highly preferred
8–12+ years of software development experience.
Strong expertise in Java (8/11/17/21).
5+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
Strong experience designing REST APIs.
Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
Hands-on experience with Kafka, JMS/IBM MQ, or RabbitMQ.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Strong SQL skills with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git.
Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
