Job Summary
Join as a Card Technical Delivery Manager to lead global card technology projects, ensuring alignment with standards and delivering solutions across the Cards technology stack in a dynamic, diverse environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead application development teams to plan and deliver technical solutions that meet project requirements within budget and schedule
- Collaborate across domain application teams to manage technical and security dependencies for card technology solutions
- Identify, monitor, and manage risks and issues related to technical application delivery, providing Level 3 support as needed
- Communicate timely and accurate status updates on technical delivery progress to stakeholders
- Partner with Program/Project Managers, Business Analysts, and System Analysts to finalize functional and technical requirements
- Work with Solution Architects and subject matter experts to implement functional and technical requirements effectively
- Provide systems input during specification phases, including effort estimates and high-level delivery plans based on impact assessments
- Ensure solution designs comply with enterprise design principles, security standards, and control requirements by collaborating with Architects, Security, and Development Leads
- Take a hands-on approach to guide application teams in building enhancements according to solution plans
- Coordinate with Test Managers to complete SIT, UAT, performance/load testing, and application security testing with quality results
- Facilitate penetration testing and remediation efforts with Security teams according to mitigation plans
- Prepare and manage technical implementation plans across multiple application teams
- Coordinate technical implementation activities to ensure smooth production cutovers and adequate post-implementation support
- Escalate schedule-impacting issues promptly and propose effective workarounds or resolutions
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services
- Oversee budgets across multiple projects, ensuring financial control and accountability
- Ensure all project documentation complies with bank standards and governance requirements
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in banking IT services with strong knowledge of cards technology, risk management, and vendor governance
- Proven success managing complex projects with strong governance and stakeholder engagement
- Technical knowledge of cards platforms (e.g., Cardlink, VisionPlus), mainframe systems (CICS/Cobol), and related applications (e.g., CACS, 2C2P, Arcot)
- Familiarity with process governance and risk methodologies
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, globally distributed, and culturally diverse environment
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Business domain knowledge in cards, e-commerce, portals, collections, loyalty rewards, and open banking
- Experience managing vendor relationships with knowledge of procurement best practices and strategic sourcing
- Awareness of external and internal best practices to maintain balanced perspectives
- Experience working with multicultural teams across multiple countries
