Lead Process and Mechanical Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
As a lead engineer responsible for process and mechanical design of “Seawater Treatment Systems” like Ultrafiltration, RO and Sulphate Removal Unit for offshore (Platforms / FPSO), and onshore oil & gas facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design of RO, UF, and SRU (Sulphate Removal) packages for onshore, platform and offshore FPSO facilities.
- Develop PFDs, P&IDs, mass/heat balances, and hydraulic calculations.
- Preparation of Process datasheets for Equipment and Instruments.
- Preparation of Process Philosophies like Control, Startup/Shutdown, and Operation /Maintenance philosophies.
- Size membranes, skids, pumps (booster/HP), vessels, and piping for offshore facilities with considering weight/space constraints.
- Select materials for corrosive seawater service and chemical compatibility.
- Identifying all client's comments and communications, to ensure client's comments / requirements are implemented, as well as feedback to project management and commercial team, raise trends / potential change orders, as necessary.
- Review vendor documents and provide comments to ensure the vendor design is in line with the project requirements.
- Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, and MTOs per client/EPC standards (API, ASME, NORSOK, ISO)
- Review vendor packages (membrane suppliers, skid fabricators and etc.,) and co-ordinate HAZOP, Model Review, FAT, SAT and etc.,
- Interface with piping, structural, E&I and layout teams for skids and module integration.
- Prepares training manuals and owner’s manuals for on-site training.
- Provide and prepare input to operating manual, pre-commissioning and commissioning manual.
- Contribute to weight / space optimization studies for skid and modules.
- Understand the project & client’s contractual requirements and scope of work. Clarify scope of work and supply to form the contract basis with client.
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive knowledge and experience in overall water and wastewater treatment processes together with qualifications acquired through a tertiary degree in engineering, process, chemical, mechanical or environmental is preferred.
- Experience leading and managing teams in a water and wastewater or similar operational environment.
- Extensive experience in Industrial water and wastewater treatment operations and process management.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in industrial water/wastewater treatment.
- Experience in FEED, EPC Engineering and Packages, preferably in Water, FPSO and Oil & Gas Industry.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas / Offshore industry is a plus.
- Experience in the design of complex skid-based industrial water treatment systems.
- Willing to travel.
- Able to multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
