Supervisor (Shipyard)

- Supervise daily ship repair activities involving hot works (welding, gas cutting, grinding, gouging) and electrical works onboard vessels and within the shipyard.
- Plan, organize, and allocate manpower, equipment, tools, and materials to meet project schedules.
- Monitor work progress and ensure jobs are completed according to approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure all personnel understand work scope, hazards, and safety requirements before commencing work.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, shipyard safety rules, and permit-to-work (PTW) requirements.
- Verify that all hot work permits, gas-free certificates, lockout/tagout (LOTO), isolation procedures, and confined space requirements are properly implemented.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, classification societies, subcontractors, and vessel representatives to resolve technical and operational issues.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
- Monitor productivity, identify delays, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of daily work progress, manpower deployment, materials usage, inspections, and completion reports.
