Role Title

External Workday Master Architect / Consultant (TenantHealth & Process Transformation) - Contract

Key Responsibilities

● Conduct a comprehensive, end-to-end technical audit of thelive Workday tenant configuration to map legacy technical debt and identifysystemic points of failure.

● Review all current worker data mappings, duplicate jobprofiles, and reporting gaps that currently restrict accurate workforcetracking and cross-functional reporting.

● Evaluate existing Workday Business Processes BPs andnotification frameworks to distinguish between minor process gaps andfundamentally flawed architectures.

● Systematically dismantle and rebuild "clogged,"overly rigid, or non-standard workflows (such as over-engineered, multi-levelapproval matrices).

● Streamline cross-functional security group assignments,permission hierarchies, and collaborative intersections between different HRmodules.

● Distinguish where the engagement should remain advisoryvs. where hands-on configuration/reconfiguration support is required to addresstechnical debt.

● Support stakeholder alignment across HR leaders, Financeexecutives, People Service Center PSC, and GTS Service Owners to translatetechnical system limitations into clear strategic choices.

Expected Deliverables in First 36 Months

● Comprehensive end-to-end technical audit of the liveWorkday tenant configuration mapping technical debt.

● Detailed Remediation Plan outlining criticalconfigurations that must be optimized, modernized, or decommissioned.

● Standardized "Acquisition Profile Template" tobuild repeatable, plug-and-play scaling for future M&A onboardingworkstreams.

● Strategic Audit Report containing comprehensive tenantfindings and a definitive technical recommendation advising leadership whetherto proceed on an iterative Reconfiguration path or execute a GreenfieldReimplementation.

● Re-engineered, streamlined Workday Business Process BPworkflows and security-group permission hierarchies.

Required Experience

● Proven track record acting as a Workday Master Architect,Solution Architect, or Principal Consultant, with deep hands-on configurationexpertise across Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, and Time Trackingmodules.

● Extensive background leading multi-market Workday tenantaudits, data-cleansing strategies, and complex instance remediation fortechnology enterprises scaling beyond 10,000 workers.

● Demonstrated capacity to evaluate enterprise-scaleinstances and deliver comprehensive cost-benefit/risk analyses comparingcomplex reconfiguration options against full greenfield reimplementations.

● Expert-level knowledge of Workday Business Process BParchitecture, configuration dependencies, security-group modeling, and customconditional routing rules.

● Ability to operate as a consultative partner, workingacross business, HR, IT, and architecture stakeholders to translate highlytechnical system limitations into clear strategic choices.

Preferred Experience

● Strong technical comprehension of how core Workday datatransformations impact downstream enterprise applications (such as Oracle ERP,Oracle EPM, SmartRecruiters, and custom middleware layers).

● Experience moving from strategy and comprehensive healthaudits to complex tenant remediation or full greenfield reimplementationdelivery in complex environments.

● Familiarity with building robust data foundations forfuture enterprise AI/automation adoption and Agentic AI capabilities
