Bank - Finance Senior Executive / AM - Budget & Planning
Overview
The successful candidate will join the Budget & Planning Department and be responsible for financial accounting, regulatory reporting, Head Office and management reporting, tax reporting, as well as finance operations including payments, claims processing and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accounting entries relating to fixed assets and general expenses.
- Perform general expense processing and nostro account reconciliations.
- Prepare daily reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and monitor financial performance exceptions.
- Prepare and submit regulatory, Head Office and management reports accurately and within stipulated timelines.
- Support the implementation of new or revised regulatory, statutory, Head Office and management reporting requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of the annual budget to Head Office.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, Head Office, Branch Management and external auditors on finance-related queries.
- Support the preparation and submission of tax-related reports, including identifying opportunities to improve and streamline reporting processes.
- Participate in finance system enhancements and implementation projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong hands-on experience in general expense processing, account reconciliations and financial accounting.
- Practical experience in preparing MAS 649, Quarterly Income & Expenditure Survey, and Annual Survey of Services reports.
- Good understanding of regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
