Head of Technology / VP Risk & Governance (Contract)

Contract Duration: 6–12 months (Potential to Extend)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of Technology Risk & Governance to lead technology risk, governance, and regulatory compliance initiatives within a leading banking environment. This role will be responsible for strengthening the technology risk framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and partnering with technology and business stakeholders to maintain a strong control environment across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technology risk assessments across applications, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and third-party environments.
- Drive compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, ensuring effective governance and risk management practices.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance technology risk policies, standards, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Oversee technology risk reporting, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), risk registers, and executive dashboards for senior management and governance committees.
- Provide risk oversight for technology projects, ensuring security, risk, and compliance requirements are embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Support regulatory audits, inspections, and remediation activities while managing technology-related incidents, operational resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery governance.
- Lead third-party technology risk assessments and provide strategic guidance to technology, security, and business stakeholders on risk and compliance matters.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Technology Risk, IT Risk, IT Audit, Information Security, or Technology Governance within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of technology risk frameworks, IT General Controls (ITGC), cybersecurity governance, cloud risk, operational resilience, and third-party risk management.
- Hands-on experience with regulatory frameworks and industry standards such as MAS Technology Risk Management (TRM) Guidelines, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, and ITIL.
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to engage senior business and technology leaders.
- Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, or CISSP are highly desirable.
