Technical Business Analyst / Product Analyst (Agile & Cloud)

About the Role

We are partnering with a leading public sector organisation to hire a Technical Business Analyst / Product Analyst to support the delivery of digital products and cloud-based solutions.

In this role, you'll work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders throughout the entire product lifecycle—from ideation and requirements gathering to solution delivery and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Owners to define product vision, roadmap, and delivery strategy.
  • Identify business opportunities and recommend product enhancements based on user needs, business priorities, and technical capabilities.
  • Support the definition of product success metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Develop business cases and recommend solution approaches aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Facilitate requirement workshops and discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain product backlogs and support backlog prioritisation based on business value and technical considerations.

Agile Product Delivery

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage project dependencies and delivery timelines.
  • Support end-to-end product development from conceptualisation through implementation and release.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers and software engineers to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and aligned with user requirements.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and business-friendly manner.
  • Build strong relationships across business units and project teams to drive successful product delivery.
  • Support change management, user engagement, and solution adoption activities.

Data & Performance Analysis

  • Define and monitor business and product KPIs.
  • Analyse product performance, user feedback, and operational metrics to support continuous improvement.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to support product decisions and prioritisation.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of Business Analysis experience supporting software development or digital transformation projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in Agile delivery environments and cloud-based platforms.
  • Experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business and technical requirements.
  • Strong experience writing :User Stories Functional Specifications Acceptance Criteria Business Cases
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of web, mobile, and cloud technologies, with the ability to assess technical feasibility.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver effectively in a fast-paced environment.
