Assistant Manager – Corporate Governance

[Contract Position]

SINDA is seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Governance Assistant Manager to support and strengthen the organization’s governance, compliance, and risk management functions. This role supports the organisation in upholding strong governance standards, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance, and enhancing internal processes across key governance domains.

Responsibilities

Coordinate Board, Sub-Committee and AGM processes, including meeting preparation, minute-taking, follow-up tracking, member appointments/renewals, induction, declarations, and maintenance of governance registers and TORs.

Lead periodic reviews of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, facilitate risk discussions with departments, update the risk register periodically, track mitigation progress, and prepare ERM reports for Management and Committees.

Coordinate internal audits, support documentation support, and follow up on audit findings to ensure closure of internal control gaps.

Review and standardize organizational policies, SOPs, governance manuals, and MOUs to ensure clarity, alignment, and compliance.

Conduct PDPA onboarding, refresher trainings and provide advisory support on data protection queries.

Assist in collating ESG and social impact data for reporting and support sustainability practices in alignment with Charity Governance Code expectations.

Manage and track regulatory submissions and support with the reporting requirements.

Requirements

Degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Accounting, Governance, Law or a related field.

Professional certifications (e.g., ICSA/CGQP, PDPA Practitioner/CIPP-A, ACCA/CA) are an advantage.

2 or more years of relevant experience in governance, audit, compliance, or data protection roles.

Strong understanding of charity/IPC governance, PDPA requirements, and ERM principles.

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and governance practices is beneficial.

Excellent documentation, minute-writing, policy drafting and communication skills.

Meticulous with good prioritization and time management skills.
