Software Engineer (SRE)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactive Monitoring of log files, system and application health

a. Installation, configuration and management of monitoring tools

b. Implementation, enhancement and integration of monitoring solutions to ensure pro-active monitoring and improve business and operational processes

c. Analysis of data and generation of dashboards for operational insights

• Automation of day to day operation activities (20%)

a. Automation of day to day task using Ansible / Shell scripting /Power Shell/ Python

• Support for reliability engineering (20%)

a. Support service request for reliability section

b. Some operation support is 24x7. Below are examples of support after office hours:

• If any production incident, the staff shall attend to the incident resolution immediately.

• Support for project cutover

• Support for important service request upon manager approval

EXPERIENCE

• Min. 3 years of experience in IT operation automation and monitoring solution

• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment

. COMPUTER PROFICIENCY

• Scripting experience – 2 years, preferable Ansible, shell, Python

• Monitoring and observability Implementation Experience

• Familiar with some of the platforms, such as Windows, Linux, Unix, Cloud Platform (AWS), database and middleware

• Analytics experience to discover trending or unknown by analytics tool like ELK, SQL or Grafana is of high advantage
