Job Responsibilities
Customer Service & Operations
- Manage daily air import operations from pre-alert to shipment delivery.
- Handle end-to-end air import documentation, including MAWB/HAWB processing, permits, and customs clearance documents.
- Monitor shipment status via in-house systems and ensure timely updates to customers.
- Respond to customer inquiries on shipment status, delays, and operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate closely with customers, airlines, overseas agents, transporters, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Ensure all import shipments are handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with customs and airline requirements.
Shipment Operations & Coordination
- Track incoming shipments and act on pre-alerts promptly to ensure smooth clearance and delivery planning.
- Arrange trucking and delivery schedules with warehouse vendors and transporters.
- Liaise with customs agents and relevant parties for timely cargo clearance.
- Resolve shipment exceptions and operational issues proactively to minimize delays and service disruptions.
- Ensure accurate shipment records, system updates, and proper document filing.
Billing, Costing & Administration
- Prepare shipment costing, billing, and customer invoices accurately.
- Raise payment requests (cheque requisitions) for permits, customs clearance, and agent-related charges.
- Follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collection.
- Maintain organized documentation and records for audit and reference purposes.
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Air Freight Management, Maritime Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in air freight forwarding operations, preferably with exposure to air import handling.
- Basic understanding of air freight processes, shipping documentation, and customs clearance procedures.
- Ability to handle daily operational tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Customer service mindset with good communication skills in handling shipment enquiries and updates.
- Able to coordinate effectively with internal teams, customers, and external service providers.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to follow instructions in a structured operational environment.
- Willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support daily operations.
- Salary package will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
