Sales Engineer / Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Engineer / Sales Manager to join our growing Fire Protection team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, preparing technical proposals, and achieving sales targets within Singapore's fire protection and construction industry.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with consultants, contractors, developers, and project teams throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within the fire protection and construction industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, main contractors, M&E contractors, facility management companies and building owners.
- Prepare quotations, tenders, cost estimates and technical proposals.
- Attend site meetings, client meetings and project briefings.
- Provide technical advice and recommend suitable fire protection solutions to clients.
- Coordinate with engineering, design and project teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate contract terms and close sales opportunities.
- Monitor project progress and provide timely support to clients until project completion.
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute towards the company's business growth.
- Keep abreast of market trends, industry developments and competitors' activities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities and project status.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant sales experience in the fire protection, M&E or construction industry.
- Candidates with more extensive experience and a proven sales track record may be considered for the Sales Manager position.
- Good knowledge of fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, hydrant systems, hose reel systems, clean agent suppression systems and fire pumps will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with Singapore fire safety regulations, construction practices and tender procedures is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Self-driven, proactive and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence will be an advantages.
