Supply Chain Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced and hands-on Supply Chain professional to oversee regional supply chain operations across procurement, inventory, warehouse, logistics and distribution.
The role will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, inventory accuracy, timely material availability and continuous improvement across the supply chain function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee regional supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory planning, warehouse management, logistics and distribution.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies and procedures to support business growth, operational efficiency and cost control.
- Manage demand forecasting, inventory planning, replenishment and material requirements planning to ensure sufficient stock availability while minimising excess inventory and holding costs.
- Monitor and analyse inventory trends, stock movements, procurement activities, warehouse performance and operational KPIs to support management decision-making.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure business continuity and uninterrupted supply.
- Oversee strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation and supplier performance reviews to achieve competitive pricing, quality and reliable supply.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers, logistics partners and service providers across the region.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval processes and corporate governance requirements.
- Oversee warehouse operations and inventory management to ensure accurate stock control, inventory integrity and efficient material flow.
- Implement inventory control measures such as cycle counts, stock audits, stock reconciliation and proper documentation.
- Optimise warehouse layout, storage utilisation, inventory flow and warehouse processes to improve productivity and reduce operating costs.
- Ensure inventory records and transactions are accurately maintained in ERP, inventory or warehouse management systems.
- Manage logistics planning, transportation and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Operations, Workshop, Finance and other internal teams to support customer commitments and operational requirements.
- Lead, mentor and develop procurement, warehouse, inventory and logistics team members to achieve departmental KPIs and performance targets.
- Prepare and present supply chain, procurement, inventory, warehouse and logistics reports for management review.
- Drive continuous improvement, digitalisation, process enhancement and cost optimisation initiatives across supply chain operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace safety requirements, quality standards, regulatory obligations and audit requirements.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory, warehouse, logistics or distribution operations.
- Experience in automotive, equipment, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, industrial products or related industries will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, demand planning, replenishment, warehouse operations, procurement and logistics coordination.
- Familiar with ERP, inventory management systems, warehouse management systems or other business systems.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory data, supply chain trends, operational reports and KPIs.
- Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across different business units.
- Hands-on, organised, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Able to lead teams, resolve operational issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prior supervisory or team management experience will be an advantage.
