We are seeking a self-driven and proactive Service Technician to join our Service team. You will play a vital role in maintaining the peak performance of our smart terminal fleet across Singapore. This is a highly dynamic position bridging the gap between IT desktop support and hands-on electronics engineering.

As a new hire, you will be onboarded via a dedicated mentorship program, pairing up with a senior teammate to quickly master our hardware and deployment ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Terminal Management & Onboarding

  • Onboarding & Configuration: Handle the initial hardware configuration, flashing of firmware, and testing of terminals before deployment.

  • Fault Calls & Troubleshooting: Act as the first line of defence for incoming terminal fault calls, diagnosing hardware breakdowns and resolving basic technical issues.

  • Deployment & Logistics: Coordinate and execute project deployment tasks, including arranging delivery, onsite installation, and terminal retrieval.

Field & Maintenance Operations

  • Onsite Preventative Maintenance: Execute onsite hardware checks, including Real-Time Clock (RTC) battery replacements, balance station servicing, and network connectivity/signal testing.

  • Project Support: Support targeted deployment campaigns (e.g., maintaining deployment tracking sheets, managing JIRA tickets, and scheduling service windows with client venues like schools).

  • Rework & Logistics: Perform basic physical rework of PCBAs or component soldering when required, and safely transport necessary tools, parts, and ladders to sites.

  • Minimum NITEC or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.

  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role (Technical Support, Desktop Support, or Field Equipment Technician) is preferred. Fresh graduates with strong hands-on skills are welcome to apply.

  • - Familiarity with computer hardware, basic networking concepts, and mobile tools/applications.

    - Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux OS environments and remote desktop applications.

    - Basic knowledge of cloud concepts is a plus.

  • Physical & Driving Requirements:

    - Possess a valid Class 3 driving license with at least 1 year of clean driving experience (preferred for site transit) is a plus.

    - Able to perform physical work, work at heights, and transport ladders/tools to job sites.

  • Soft Skills & Availability:

    - Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and work effectively under pressure.

    - Excellent problem-solving skills and a responsible, positive learning attitude.

    - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

    - Flexibility to work after-hours or on weekends on short notice if facility event schedules demand it.
