Welder / Fabrication Technician

Job OverviewWe are looking for a skilled and reliable Welder to join our production workshop.

In this role, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and assembling various sheet metal components according to technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Welding Operations: Perform high-quality welding works (primarily TIG and MIG) on materials like stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.
• Assembly & Fabrication: Read blueprints and engineering drawings to weld parts in the correct positions and alignments.
• Quality Inspection: Examine welded components for defects, ensuring joints are secure and meet design tolerances.
• Finishing & Grinding: Use hand tools and grinders to smooth out weld lines and clean up finished pieces.
• Maintenance & Safety: Maintain welding equipment safely and strictly adhere to workshop safety regulations.
• Job RequirementsExperience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in TIG/MIG welding within a manufacturing or engineering workshop.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret basic engineering blueprints and welding symbols.
• Certifications (Preferred): Valid welding certifications (e.g., AWS or equivalent) or a Nitec/Higher Nitec in Mechanical Engineering/Welding is highly preferred.
• Safety Mindset: Must possess a valid WSQ Workplace Safety and Health (Metal Work) certificate.Physical Fitness: Able to handle manual tools, stand for long periods, and wear complete safety gear (PPE).Work Benefits & HoursWork Hours: Mon–Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Sat: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Overtime (OT): Overtime opportunities available (paid at 1.5x basic rate).Benefits: Annual Leave, Medical Benefits, and Performance Bonuses.
