Assistant Manager, Finance (Regional & Process Improvement) / Central West area

Our client is a global food manufacturing MNC in the agrifood industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Finance Assistant Manager, Regional to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the Central West area.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive finance process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and optimise accounting workflows.
- Review and improve finance systems, reporting processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support business and operational excellence.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support system enhancements, ERP optimisation, and automation initiatives within the finance function.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare management reports, financial analysis, budgeting support, forecasts, and variance analysis to facilitate business decision-making.
- Manage accounting operations, including reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, billing, AP, AR, and payment processes while maintaining strong financial controls.
- Support statutory reporting, tax, GST, audits, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Maintain finance master data and contribute to the continuous enhancement of reporting tools, ERP systems, and business applications.
- Provide guidance and supervision to the finance team, supporting capability development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in finance transformation projects and other business improvement initiatives to enhance overall finance performance.
- Performance ad-hoc assignments when required.
Requirements
- Min Diploma in Accountancy, Finance studies or equivalent.
- Min 5-6 years of relevant experience in finance operations and process improvement, with people management skills
- Strong knowledge of full set accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Familiarity with enterprise financial consolidation tools (Hyperion/Infor M3 or similar tools) used for group-level reporting and analysis.
- Experience in process improvement, workflow enhancement, or system improvement initiatives will be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with reporting tools is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
