Project Site Manager

About the Role
Weare looking for an experienced Project Site Manager to support the delivery ofthe Sentosa Monorail Overhaul Project in Singapore.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervisingdepot-based overhaul activities including monorail vehicle overhaul, bogie overhaul, brake systems, electrical and mechanical systems, and testing and commissioning activities.
This role is suitable for candidates with strong railway site experience who are comfortable leading engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and site teams in afast-paced project environment. The position will work closely with the Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager to support smooth project execution and site coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Management & Supervision
- Manage and supervise daily depot-based overhaul activities for monorail vehicles and related railway systems
- Coordinate site activities involving bogie overhaul, brake systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and testing activities
- Lead and supervise engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution
- Monitor work progress, manpower allocation, and site activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical and operational issues during project execution
2. Technical Coordination & Execution
- Work closely with the Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager to support project execution and site coordination
- Coordinate with headquarters, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams regarding technical matters and site activities
- Support testing and commissioning activities to ensure successful project completion
- Ensure work activities are carried out according to approved procedures, technical requirements, and project standards
- Monitor and support QA/QC activities, inspections, and compliance with safety procedures
3. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and support site reports, technical records, inspection documents, and daily progress updates
- Maintain proper site documentation and records related to overhaul and testing activities
- Coordinate technical documentation and communication with relevant stakeholders in English, and in Japanese where required for Japan headquarters coordination and technical documentation
4. Team Coordination & Safety Management
- Lead and coordinate site teams to ensure safe and efficient project execution
- Conduct site coordination and follow-up with engineers, subcontractors, and relevant personnel
- Promote good safety practices and maintain safe working conditions within the depot environment
- Support smooth communication and coordination between site teams and project management teams
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in railway, rolling stock, maintenance, overhaul, or infrastructure projects
- Strong experience in site supervision, depot operations, or overhaul activities
- Railway vehicle technical knowledge is required
- Experience in monorail projects will be an advantage
- Good understanding of railway vehicle systems including bogie, brake, electrical, and mechanical systems
- English communication skills are required for site coordination, safety communication, and local stakeholder communication
- Japanese language proficiency is required for coordination with Japan headquarters, Japanese-speaking technical teams, and Japanese technical documentation
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage site activities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience in monorail, train/railway vehicle, or railway engineering projects
- Experience in rolling stock overhaul and depot maintenance activities
- Experience working with Japan-based stakeholders, Japanese technical documentation, or projects involving Japan headquarters coordination
- Experience in testing and commissioning activities
- Experience managing engineers, technicians, and subcontractors on-site
- Familiarity with depot safety management and QA/QC activities
