Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and validate business requirements for AML initiatives, including Name Screening, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Transaction Monitoring.
  • Conduct requirements elicitation and analysis, translating business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Work closely with business users and subject matter experts to review requirements and identify opportunities to streamline business processes.
  • Analyse current and future-state business and operational processes, perform impact assessments, and recommend process improvements.
  • Prepare and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and other project documentation in accordance with established standards.
  • Ensure requirements are complete, traceable, and aligned with business objectives through the use of requirement traceability matrices.
  • Collaborate with System Analysts, Solution Architects, and development teams to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and accurately translated into technical solutions.
  • Review and approve functional specifications prepared by System Analysts to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Monitor and manage requirement-related risks, issues, assumptions, and scope changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support IT management by providing project scope, assumptions, and business inputs for governance and approval documentation.
  • Prepare business release notes and contribute to deployment planning activities.
  • Review System Integration Testing (SIT) test cases and provide functional support throughout SIT and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Work with operational teams to establish new procedures and ensure smooth implementation of system enhancements.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the existing technology landscape to support seamless system integration and solution delivery.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of banking experience with strong exposure to technology and business transformation initiatives.
  • Proven Business Analyst experience delivering AML projects, with knowledge of Name Screening, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Transaction Monitoring, or related Financial Crime systems.
  • Preferred experience implementing or enhancing AML platforms such as NetReveal, Detica, NICE Actimize, Oracle FCCM, SAS AML, or similar Financial Crime Compliance solutions.
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and documentation.
  • Hands-on experience preparing BRDs, functional requirements, impact assessments, and requirement traceability matrices.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and system implementation methodologies.
  • Experience working closely with business stakeholders, System Analysts, Architects, developers, testers, and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting SIT and UAT activities, including test case reviews and defect resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while effectively handling requirement changes, risks, and scope throughout project delivery.
