Support Engineer (EUC and Project)

Join a dynamic team as a Network Support Technician, where you will be the first line of defense in resolving network-related issues, ensuring seamless connectivity for users.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for incoming network tickets, providing L1/L2 troubleshooting for LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless connectivity issues.
  • Log, track, and update incidents using ITSM tools, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Proactively monitor network performance to identify outages before they affect customers.
  • Identify and escalate complex issues to Tier 2 or Tier 3 teams with comprehensive hand-off documentation.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on network infrastructure, including firmware updates and configuration backups, to support system performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred certifications: CCNA, HCIA, CompTIA Network+.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including the OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
  • Basic experience in configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with command-line and packet capture tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating technical concepts clearly.
  • Methodical problem-solving abilities for effective incident resolution.
  • Availability for flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, to fulfill standby responsibilities.
